Default no vtec! arg

my b18c EG feels like it doesnt have vtec. after 4500 rpm, the car does get a bit louder, but not as noticable as what my other 2 buddies hybrids. they tell me to check and see if my vtec is working. well, the question is how can i check to see if my vtec is workin right. i dont know which sensors to check.

is there a way you can test it other than sound though? Cause some of us (like myself) are fairly new to having a vtec motor. I'm beginning to wonder if my vtec isn't activating either, or maybe just not all the time.

i got the stock p72 ecu that matches my 94 b18c motor. when i engage vtec at 4500, i hear a slightly louder noise, but not significantly. this is also my first motor w/ vtec.

can the PCV valve affect your vtec from kickin in?? cause i broke mines and left it running in a straight hose from the breather to the intake mani???

did you wire the secondary intake runners correct? pink/blue wire to a17. I dont know if this is the problem but i know that im running a p28 w/ stock IM and i cant wire that, therefore i lose 10+lbs. of torque and about the same lose in HP.
