whats the easiest swap for del sol?
I just bought a del sol with the tiny d15, But not for long. I'm in search for a motor that is easily swapped into the del sol with no mods. I got enough for a b16 sir1, but it's cable tranny, is that of a problem? Some guy was tellin me I have too get the sir2 due to it's hydrolic tranny, but I don't really care if it's hydrolic or not, I ain't got the money for that, so if anyone can help me out I greatly appreciate it. Oh yeah, a B18b is my other choice. Thanks

with no additional mods/mounts you would have to stay w/ a d-series or zc, but a 2nd gen b16 would be pretty easy to do since it was in the del sol vtecs.

dont waste your time with any d series of sir engines. Do a gsr swap and you will be happy. I put a b18c1 in my sol and it is fast as hell. All you need is gsr motor tranny axles p72 obd1 ecu wiring harness and a del sol vtech shift linkage. Also make sure the motor comes with the mounts. You will be happy with a b18 swap the torque and HP is well worth it in the eg chassis and you dont have to worry about understeer like a h22 swap or the such. Dont waste your time and do a swap thats not worth the money. Do a gsr swap.
