3K isn't really enough to put in a GSR unless you can find a great deal on one, and you do all the labor yourself.

You could certainly go with a b18b with the amount you've got. ~142 hp, decent TQ....I really liked mine when I had one in my hatch.

Or you could go with a b20....and on either add a VTEC later on.

Do some suspension upgrades for now, such as coilovers, struts, sway and strut bars. Then save for a B18c.

I know that I was going to buy that car at one point. Heh. I think you should take the 3 grand and buy a b18c. And Id be more than willing to help/do your swap for a little $.

idk why u think 3 grand isn't enough for a GSR... why dont u look around some u can find motors alot cheaper.... no point in spendin ur money on a b18b when u wont be happy w/ it a month from now, after u ride in a hatch W/ a b18c, look around find a GSR u can get that for 3 grand even less... if u need a obd2 ecu p72 i will sell u one cheap....
