need some answers please
ok i was asking people in the ef civic area what would be better to do. i have a 88 hathback and i have a 95 si engine it needs a cam cam gear and rods.. i dont know wether to rebuilt it, my other 2 options are buy an ls motor and put a v-tec head or buy a b16a1 the ls i can get for 900 every thing i need and the b16a1 with just the tran. i'm more on the ls motor but what do you uys think is better? and if i got the ls would it be better to re do the internals and ad a turbo or do the internals and v-tec head or v-tec head first? thanks

If i were in that position, I would stick with the LS motor (B18A) unless you want to go B18B and do the OBD1 or OBD2 conversion with it, otherwise first gen B16 would be your best bet and you'd have alot of fun with that.
If you want to go turbo, i'd suggest ls motor over the b16 unless you plan on going full blown and getting a standalone for the b16.

thanks yeah i think i'm going to get the ls motor. my cousin has a vtec head he would sell me for cheap really cheap but what is that OBD1 or OBD2 exact? and some one said if you do the ls-vtec conversion and you add a turbo it wouldnt really work as well is it true?

search ls vtec a lot of stuff on it this isnt as easy as you prob think ls vtec needs to be built right and than to handle a turbo needs to be built even better this can cost a lot or take along time to build right this is not like a weekened deal months and months or planning and getting parts do as much research before u decide to buy a motor
ls turbo gets good results
ls turbo gets good results

why not just go ls turbo no vtec ? ls is a great motor to turbo
and if you are gonna do ls vtec you gonna wanna do everything at once while the motor is apart
