Expensive

Sounds like this is a "plan" and not actual....also a DART block is not a B18A/B/20B/Z block, its a VTEC block (LS head won't match up), so its technincally not a LSVTEC if the only thing LS is the stroke.

Before you spend that kind of money on a Honda (not including the cost of the car), you may look into something like a V8 Miata, or the V8 RX-7's.

I know its not crazy VTEC cool, but it will knock the socks off of what you propose.....course I would just get the DART block, a turbo kit....take my 250HP, and only spend half your budget.

i duno man. i think youre gonna end up being disappoined that you spent all that money and dont even have a fast car. you should just do that same **** you propose but instead of high compression shoot for like 8.5 or 9:1 and then boiost the **** outta it. THEN youll have some serious power.

n/a is cool as ****, but i could never justify it though. dollar/hp is insane when compared to a mildly built engine boosted to 1 bar or something.

All that money and all you are after is 240-250 hp? A internally stock d series can put down those numbers.

$365 for a throttle body? Bore the stock one out it'll only cost a few dollars.

116 Octane for 12.5:1 compression, I see you have put a lot of thought into this.

youndtunerandlearner how young are you? it sounds like a nice build if you really want to spend that much. maybe you should just do it and then come back here with some dyno pulls and ets...

Good hell I would hope that for 12G's you could get a hell of a lot more than 250hp. I know that for 12G's I could easily make 5-700. All motor is a happy idea but for spending that kind of cash your not going to have the power you could have on a different setup. However if thats how you want to build it then so be it. Its your car man build it how you want.

I think you could save $300 right there ... no need if I read it right.

K20A2 Swap = $3000
Mounting Kit = $2800
Hondata K-Pro = $995
Crower Stage 2/3 Cams = $1250

Total: $8,000

Approx. 220whp - 240whp and you still can add overbore tb, intake manifold, 12:1 compression, Hondata IMG, 90mm bore, bigger injectors, port&polish and 3-angle valve job.

Don't go B if you can go K.

I think the K series is a much better engine to start with and has a lot of potential but since it is soooo new the price just doesn't seem justifiable. I say you go B20 w/ turbo. No VTEC needed, it'll just complicate tuning.

yeah Kseries is about as much of a bandwagon thing to hop on as JDM parts, especially as of late!

They are a better motor, especially when you get one through sponsorship!

i hope this isnt going to be a daily driver cus 110 octane will get insanely expensive after a while. i honestly dont think you will be close to 240whp. if u get that dart block and lower the compression, say **** the $1000 header and $960 cams, $450 oil pan, and $300 air intake you could get a decent turbo setup and actually put that dart block to use. its tested up to 55psi i believe. boost that bitch.

iether that or put that cash into a bigger motor.
