Do you have spark and/or fuel getting to the motor? Is the timing of the motor on? I think the Z6 distributor doesn't quite match up to the Y8 head.

yes i do, the engine wont turn by hand so im guessing it is the timing or possibly the wrong color rod bearings

If the engine will rotate only partly by hand than it sounds like the timing belt is off and your valves are hitting the pistons. If you need help on setting the timing properly, IM me. Goodluck

Although that's true about the distributors not being compatible, she has more problems than just that. She said that the motor will not turn over all the way BY HAND.

Yeah, if it's not turning over by hand then you have an internal problem: valves hitting pistons, something binding, etc. Don't try forcing it to turn or try cranking it anymore. Take off the timing belt and make sure you have everything aligned properly. Hopefully you haven't damaged anything yet...
