LS/VTEC questions
I have read the articles (http://www.hondastyle.com/news/wmview.php?ArtID=6)stating the evils of the LS/VTEC and B20/VTEC hybrids. However I still have some questions. Hopefully some of you can help. I know of the longer stroke problem with the stock LS hardware. However, could this problem be remedied with aftermarket crank, rods, pistons, etc. I guess what I am really asking is, what is the difference between the B18A/B blocks, and the B18C blocks? Is there one? Would a crank designed for a B18C work with the B18A/B?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: LS/VTEC questions (CourtLukens)
the only diff is the crank. and no vtec oil gallery. and no oil squirter. the crank has a longer stroke and has smaller rods.

I know of one difference between A/B and C blocks... the C has the block girdle, and a position for a knock sensor. Other than that, I don't think there is any difference. But don't quote me on that.
And yes the C crank will work. That is what I am running in my car. B181 block, GSR crank, Eagle rods, JE pistons. I don't remember if machining had to be done for the GSR crank to fit in the B18A block. Short block was built for me.
