Default LS/VTEC question

i want to throw a ls vtec in my daily i have a ls motor (needs rebuild) i dont want to spend alot of $ cause i'm trying to finish my turbo car but anyway i have a 95 gsr head i was wondering if its possible to mount stock GSR or typeR pistons on ls rods and crank to get somewhat of a higher comp ratio??? is it possible or will it hit the valves ?

You should be fine if there mated on LS rods.
