i'm running a usdm p30 ecu with a b16a3 swap now and may go ls vtec what are you guys doing to get around the knock sensor or lack of to still get the v-tec?

you will still have functional vtec with a knocksensor code. you can get a chipped p28(what i have), get a 90-93 ls block and there is a spot for the knock sensor on it, i think you just have to thread it. or if you have a 94+ ls block, you can find somewhere else to put the knock sensor ie, the head or altenator bracket. i didnt even bother with it. i am just using a p28 ecu which doesnt look for the knocksensor.

p28 with J&S...stock sensor is crap(for granny drivers with 87 octane gasoline)

 

Send your ecu to Hasport in Arizona... They remove the knock sensor and set rev limit to whatever you want!!!

I'm currently having my ecu done and should be done tomorrow!!!
