LS rods in a d16???? help
I've heard of ppl using ls rods in d16 block i'm trying to find more info and b4 everyone starts the flames i did a search and got nothing just seeing if anyone has any info bc i'm looking to rebuild for more boost and don't want to spend a lot of money on my daily car. just want more boost for daily and save my money for my S i'm pickin up.

Yes you can do this... You have to notch I belive either side of the rods so that they will clear the rod journals or something along those lines.
I have had a friend do it and he liked it...till his engine failed due to the wrist pin comming out by itself while the engine was running.
do a search...people do it but I would rather just get aftermarket rods to be safe then sorry

My friend did it and it was a failure because he made his own piston wrist pin or had it machined to fit.
I'm sure if you calculate everything, it will work fine but as I said, the time and the machining to go into it, I'd just get aftermarket rods for your specific application.
