Has anybody on here manager to get their car k swapped for less than 5k? If so, how did you do it? I'm looking at doing a k24 with an rsx tranny just to get going, and building it down the road. Only problem is with the k-pro and the misc items i'm still looking at spending 5+.

Can anybody offer some advice on how to save some money. Thanks!

you could do this...

k24a4 - $450
rsx-s tranny- $900
mounts - $500
swap harness - $250
axles - $400
fuel setup - $300
misc **** - $...

just a vague idea, but it could easily be done, I did mine super cheap (k24a1 $750, rsx-s trans/shiftbox/cables $800, did my own fuel setup braided lines from the tank and regulator already had $250 w/reg guessing, and list goes on... but it can be done

Don't forget you'll need a K-Pro.

It could cost around $950, if you find it cheaply.

you don't HAVE to have kpro. you can run a stock k20 ecu and just run it like a stock k20.

its not a good idea to run a k24 with a stock prc ecu.

I know everyone thinks about kpro, but alot of people sell aem 1070 boxes because aem isnt user friendly. I picked my aem box up for 800.

My friend just got done doing his k swap for under 5 and its a k24a1 block with k20a2 head, and a few other goodies.

To clarify this statement...
It needs to be a JDM K20 ecu which is immobilizer'less.

All US K20 ecu's have immobilizers which will not allow your vehicle to turn over because of the theft deterent system immobilizer.

hit up k20a.org and just lowball like crazy.......you won't belive half of the prices some of that **** was going for.

i JUST saw a k series half shaft go for 5 bucks plus shipping bwahaha

can't even get a b SERIES half shaft for that much.

what i love about the K is that people here its expensive, so they shy away from it, so the people that are parting get desperate and sell for DIRT cheap
