JDM LSD in a USDM Case...
I have a JDM R LSD and im swapping it into a 2000 usdm gsr tranny. Do in need to shave off the fins in the case to make it fit? Also the JDM GSR LSD is a viscious LSD or whatever, anyone have a picture of one?

Re: JDM LSD in a USDM Case... (BVM)
I've never dropped one into 2000 US GSR, but to test it, with the clutch housing flat on the table, simply insert the LSD (with the brearings) into the housing and give it a spin. If it does not hit any of the baffles, you don't have to.
I don't have my helm's on me now but they are all the same for at least stock honda/acura FD ring gears. If now one else replies, remind me later and I'll let you know.
I was under impression that all stock units had helical LSDs....
If you don't have helm's you better get it.

If your putting a JDM one in you will ned to shave some of the case. NO gaskets just need honda bond.

I read all the lsd questions on this board but have more questions. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...75801
I just bought that lsd for my 94 integra gsr, where do I get the seals and cartridge roller bearings for this differential, is that all I should replace. If I get the seals from the honda dealer what exactly do i tell them I need(what seals etc.-I have no idea my lsd is in the mail)???? Also I use the same bolts in my usdm trans for the jdm lsd>? Do I need 2 bearings part 91005-p80-e31, the ring gear fro mthe usdm matches the jdm lsd?> ?http://www.team-integra.net/forum/di...urnPage=Search

looks liek u use your sam ebolts and ring gear for that lsd. http://www.hybridgarage.com/tech/lsd/index.html the part number for the sealed bearings are on that link. You dont need any replacment seals. Unless your going to replace the two seals where the axles go into the case.
