Default B16 ---> B20 cooling fan?

Ive gone from my B16 with its really handy fan switch in the back of the block to a B20 engine that doesnt not have the same thermo switch. It has a switch on the thermostat housing, but Im told that this interfaces with teh ECU on a ODB1/2 car and the radiator fan is switched by the ECU.
Since Im running ODB0, is there a way I can use this "switch" (Im also told its a resistance valve ratehr than on or off) to control my radiator fan, or am I oing to have to go for a manual switch?

All the ECT sensor (the sensor you are talking about) does is give the fan(s) ground. The ECU does not control the fan switch. I have done what you are talking about. It is easy and if you need help, just ask.

You could hook the wires together and run the fan all the time if you had to.
