jdm itr ecu to usdm ecu question
i'm a total noob so plz don't flame me too much.
i have a 98 jdm itr ecu and in order to pass smog, i need to hook up a usdm ecu [96+] and i do not know how the hell to. i hear i can use any usdm 96+ ecu, but i don't know how or if that's correct. i didn't do the wiring myself, i paid someone to do it. electrical stuff scares me.
i heard i need to hook up a crank sensor and all of the o2 sensors my civic ek came with, but the jdm parts i have don't run with it. is there ANY way at all to just hook up the usdm ecu and ghetto rig it so that the CEL doesn't come on when i start? and removing it isn't an option.

Just get a fuel controller (VAFC) and lean it out at idle.
You'll pass for sure that way. The sniffer test at least.
