Default Jdm GSR ecu question

Can you use a USDM ecu with a JDM GSR motor? The motor will be swapped into a '92 hatchback si. Just wondering if the ECU's are interchangable.

Default Re: Jdm GSR ecu question (GQ Cowboy)

I would say yes you can. Any DOHC VTEC ecu should work as long as it is the right year obd for the engine so it will recognize all the sensors. However, this doesn't mean it will have the optimal fuel maps and timing.
I may be wrong on this. If so, someone please correct me.

Of course there is always Hondata
