B18c into a crx, HELP?
hello readers, im new.............have a crx 91 si w/ a b16a. well lately i been driving around with blue smoke, cause ive been so lucky to swap in a bad jdm motor with some messed up piston rings. SHUCKS! darnit! more money................ BUT in a way it gives me a reason to do more amazing stuff! so my next engine of choice would be a 95 gsr motor! but little do i know how it will fit and run with a b16a tranny and a crx body? can anyone tell me what i will expect during the swap? (im gonna try to use all the b16a parts and throw them on the new motor.....? also if the b16a tranny doesnt fit , what kind should i use? THXS....................

Why not just get some new high comp pistons and new rings. Be alot easier than swapping in a new engine. Probably cheaper too.
Or just get a B20 block and use your B16 parts to make a CRVTEC.

To answer your original question, it's easy. The B16 tranny will mate up to the B18C block. You will want to transfer over your B16 distributor to the B18C engine because of the different plug style. You will also most likely need to change the mount that is bolted to the driver's side of the block from the B16 engine and put it on the B18C engine. Then swap over the wiring harness. You may need to extend a couple of sensors, but that's no big deal.
I did one in a friends and we used the PW0 computer and just bumped up his fuel pressure and got new injectors from Venom. We also got rid of the GSR intake manifold for the Skunk2 one.
