Default JDM B16, wiring, mounts??

i'm try to do my homework on b16 swap--whats the deal with the wiring for a JDM motor--i know i'll need some sort of conversion, or a USDM wiring harness to make it complatible....what about mounting it? Will it match up with stock mounts? What about ECU? i have a 95 civic coupe.

You don't need to buy a mounting kit and/or weld anything. Use delsol and/or gsr mounts and components and you'll be OK. Use your stock wiring and reprogram your ECU for DOHC.

HAHAHA....still laughing about welding in things. I remember like 3 yrs ago people were doing that. No welding required for the EG. Just use the stock mounts, get the rear trans bracket from a 94teggie, front AC bracket from a 94 gsr or DOHC 94 delslo...GSR shift linkage. Get the 2nd gen B16a swap with the P30 ecu and the Hydro trans

Different mounts are required for the 1st gen B16.

if you own an EX coupe..you can reuse that ECU, which is a P28, by getting it reprogrammed to DOHC VTEC spec. Like blown hatch says...get some integra mounts...
infact check out this pic:

you also need to use axles + shift linkage from a 94+ Integra.
You can reuse your engine harness, but you'll need to extend a few wires - no biggie. OR if you don't have an EX coupe, then you'll have to run the VTEC wires to the ECU using your coupes stock engine harness. OR get a hold of an EX or Si engine harness and you will only have to wire from the passenger side shock tower area down to the ECU (where the indash harness meets the engine harness) all the VTEC plugs are already inbedded in the EX/Si engine harness.

confused yet?

Hey katman, I have a '93 JDM b16 in a 92 vx hatch and I just used the "timing belt side" mount that was already on it(not a teg mount). I also used a 94+ teg rear mount and shift linkage, '93 P28 ECU programmed for DOHC and my stock VX wiring.

Will 94+ Integra axles fit on the JDM b16 hydro tranny? Or will you have to use DOHC Delsol or 99-00 SI axles?

you can use any 94+ Integra axles or 92+ B16A axles with a hydro tranny.
