I have pics of a 95 B18C1 into a 94 VX. All I had to move is 3 wires. 1 for the KS, 1 for the o2, and 1 for the secondaries. Since you have a ITR you don't have secondaries so you won't have to worry about it and I believe the Kenji p28 doesn't look for a ks. So yes all you have to do is move 1 wire and you are done. I'll post pics tonight. I traced all the wires in the harness to make sure they go to the correct pins on the ecu using my digital multimeter.

Here is the VX plug which you need to remove the wires from. It's all I have until I get home

Remove the ORG/BLU wire seen in the top left of the pic below. This wire is for the 02 sensor.

The BLU/YEL directly under it is the knock sensor wire.

I'll post where they go when I get home this evening.

Ok, here's part 2:

Place the ORG/BLU wire (o2) you just removed from the 6 pin VX plug and insert into the center top hole in the 10 pin plug between the BRN/BLK wire and the BLK/RED wire. You must first remove the rubber plug. Your o2 is now wired.

If you are using a OBD1 B18C1 you need to follow the next steps.

Take the BLU/YEL wire (knock sensor) and place into the empty hole at the bottom of the same plug. It will be right next to another BLU/YEL wire. Your KS is now wired.

To wire up your secondary intake runners on a OBD1 B18C1 just move the red wire from A20 to A17 on you ECU harness and you are done.

Everything should take less than 10 mins.

THANK YOU POISON, VTECVillain, AND KATMAN! I COULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT

You beat me to it. I left my camera with the pics at my shop and was going to put them up last night. We've been swamped with work so I haven't had time to get them uploaded. I'll still post them tomorrow anyway.

Here's the pics I promised, a little late but here they are:

Just follow dwnthehatch's write-up, very good I might add, and they should be self explanitory.

let me jump in on this.

my scenario.

92 VX. custom HMT kit T25 @ 6psi.

i want to step it up, and run uberdata. my P07 5 wire ECU can't be chipped.

so.. if i get my hands on a P28, i will need a 4 wire O2. how do i wire that? can i change pin locations on my harness in the car now.. or will it plug and play?

another thing.. my VX has VTEC-E. the VTEC controlls the timming of 1 valve to open later for fuel effenicy. can i run the VTEC hot all the time, and pretty much run a LS based non VTEC map?

i just swapped in a itr motor in my 93 civic vx. i was forced to use the stock vx motor harness and just got everything running fine. the only cel im getting is a code 6. engine coolant temp sensor. do you have any idea what is wrong. the car runs fine when its warm, this morning it would'nt hold a idle until it warmed up, im guessing because of this coolant sensor.....

.... OT

I also have a vx wiring question... but this ones alittle strange.
1994 civic lx sedan.... motor blown... swaping in vx motor complete swap.

how do i wire this one up?
Should i use the LX engine harness & modify it onto the VX motor
or...
use VX engine harness & plug up to LX shock tower harness?

what wires to be repinned?

I put a 00 ls swap in my 92 vx and it has been running rough ever since. I didnt throw any codes for 3 weeks, then finally this week i got a code 43.... I swapped the one o2 wire like outlined in this thread... Code 43 is not all the time either, its sort of random.

Could my code 43 be related to o2 wiring?? Is there another step i am missing for obd2 motor into a vx.
