i heard that the itr stock headers(usdm) are longer than the stock gsr is this true if so will this work for the question above?

Well, I can confirm that the ITR headers are longer...
My stock cat (CX) was in the header though so I had to get a new one anyway. The length from the ITR header collector to the exhaust flange is roughly 15 inches if that helps.
