yeah i think if your an average driver it will hit 14.5-14.8 but if your a better than normal then maybe low 14. ie 14.1-14.3 um why did you get stuff you dont really need yet?? fuel rail?? msd ignition??? if i were you i would of got some cams and a good set of springs. then definatley low 14.1 maybe high 13.9

B16 CRX with slicks runs 13.9 with full interior.
GSR swap should run 13.6-13.7

That is if you can drive!

I always enjoy conversations about what times a car SHOULD run.

There's too many variables to make blanket statements about how this car SHOULD run certain times - altitude, driver, track prep, etc. I can tell you what I've seen personally, but I will NOT speculate NOR will I say that "An EF with GS-R should run 13.7...blah blah..."

Just run the damn car. I've seen a B18C1 EF run a 15.0 and YES it was running properly and had a good geared J1 tranny too. I've seen 3 different EGs here powered by B18C1 swaps run consistent 14.6, yet many will tell you they should run low 14's - WHATEVER.

You'll never know until you run it.

Don't say 'whatever'..

You're right, there's factors, but if a guy down the coast is running a 12.40 with the same setup, I'm gonna wonder wtf I'm doing wrong.. I was expected to run a 14.4 with stock GSR in my EK hatch with a clutch, and I ran a 14.0 with full int, 14" ex rims/tires, and DX exhaust, no cat.. Around here, there's guys with ITR hybrids running 14.6s and stock ITRs are running 14.8s, doesn't compute does it? I can make a statement that says the itr hybrid's time is weak, while the ITR's is damn good..

To answer the original question, and to reword it a little, make it a little more PC for some people >> It would be very nice if u were to be running a 13.8-14.0 with that setup, all things considered.. You should try to time your car on a ~70 degree day, close to sea level, car fully-cooled down for at least 2 runs (your first run and after lunch).. The key to a good 1/4 mile time is EXPERIENCE and conditions.. keep going and going, and when u don't want to go anymore because u have your own parking space, run lane, and plaque on the wall, go some more..

I ran my best time after my first 7 runs...can't say my car was cooling off either - just kept going right back so I could bust a 13...

i'm not trying to be a dick, but you're proving my point. Who would have thought a B18C1 EK would bust a 14 flat? See? You might have gone through thinking 14.6-14.8 like most people will tell you.

oic where you're coming from.. I don't see anything wrong with getting a 'baseline' or educated 'guesstimate' from people who have been doing this for awhile.. You can't go out and put the times in your sig as if u ran them or something, but kinda like a good 'ol G-Tech time, take it as a expectation range, but until u get out there and run at the strip over and over, your will never know..

Yes. Asking what others have run is fine to me, but when you ask "what my car will run" I think it's not a good question. 14-flat? That's bad as hell. I ran a 13.9@100.97 in my old 1992 Si w/ITR swap. I sold the car and kept all the goodies like the ITR swap, GS-R seats, and wheels/tires and I'm building a 1992 CX now. I won't even guess when people ask me what it will run -- i'll just have to run it and see.

I can only say that with 200+lbs. LESS and the 4.929 final drive instead of the old 4.400 on PAPER it should be faster. I would never say it will run a 13.00 or anything like people expact me to - i'll just run it the day the strip opens back up.

The same goes for horsepower. I hate to see arguments on hypothetical hp after a mod. I thought I'd dyno @ 165whp with my set-up, but ended up with a baseline of 175whp w/no tuning. I never would have known until I went to the dyno.

Cheers
