How Difficuit is it to swap the ITR JDM motor into a Si Coupe?
I was searching on Club Si and they said u have to buy extra parts to complete the swap, like timing belts and other parts, is this true? or can I drop the motor in and wire up everything and go from there?

do a search...or better yet....ask around and do a little more research before you post on here because people on here arent going to give you a step by step process.
its no different than any other swap in an ek chassis.

maybe u didnt understand it...or I didn't explain it right, since I have the B series stock in the car, all I would need to do is pull the Si motor out and swap it for the ITR motor? I wouldn't need to buy n e extra parts and stuff to swap out the motors?

pretty much, i mean you may need little things. im not the right guy to talk to about this, but i know enough to know that its not a difficult swap.
my question to you is why would you swap a b16 for a type-r motor? why not go for an ls v-tec setup?

i'm not 100% sure about this but i think you can just swap it in, but i do remember ppl saying that you did have to change some belts out, but i didn't know why.
i'm actually trying to do the same swap in my 00 si to. it'll be good to know.....back to more searching

if you have it built right with hondata and tuning, ls/vtec will be as reliable as any other motor. i know a guy who has had one for three years now, TURBO.
it was putting 375 who down when he first got it, and now, after three years, hes still putting 360 hp to the wheels.

yeah i dont blame you..i was just making the point that ls vtec setups can be reliable, even when you run forced induction.

well here is the skinny
if you have a 99-00 you'll have to worry about the CFK sensor on the crank
JDM itr motors don't have the obd2 version sensors.
change the mount on the timing belt side to run the post style mount from the EK's/ other way to do it is get the hasport mount EKLH and do the traditional style.
you might have to change out the P/S belt since the crank pulleys are different
