Default High Compression d15z1

Has anyone tried swapping d17a2 pistons into a d15z1 motor to get a higher compression ratio? I recently picked up a '93 hatch VX for my dad and it needs a rebuild as it's burning a decent amount of oil. He's not into the performance scene, but since I have to rebuild the bottom end anyway I thought I would look into bumping the compression to around 11.5:1 with some new pistons. It would give him a nice little boost in hp and torque all the way around without sacrificing the awesome mileage those motors get, so it seems win-win. According to http://www.zealautowerks.com/dseries.html I would be right around 11.5:1 with the d17a2 pistons and .030" taken off the head. The compression height is .75mm lower on the new pistons so it shouldn't poke out of the head, but I am a little worried that the valves won't have clearance. Any thoughts on this?
