the keyway on the crank pulley locates it on the crank in relation to the timing belt gear as well.

do you have both crank pulleys to compare?
if so, look thru their center holes and line up the keyway (where you put the woodruff key) then mark the new pulley.

if you dont, you ned to know if the timing is the same between those motors and also if the keyways are in the same spot. I bet its close if not all the same but hell, what do I know.

so the key marks 16 degrees ???

so once my crank lines up with the mark on the block for TDC where that key is relative to the edge of the pulley thats my 16 degree mark to work off when setting my timing?

I hope I have the old pulley....hehe

keep it coming uys....I'll try to get pics to help me out..

like owen have said, compare the old pulley with the new pulley to see if they match. I've compared a D16z6 to a B18c1 pulley before and they have the same similar marking at the same place for the timing so I am "guessing" they are equally the same with your zc and sohc pulley *crosses fingers*

to after market pulleys. Though my unorthadox was not off. My friend has one that was way off. how can they make such shitty products. I swear the only good parts u can get are from honda. Then again you are putting it on a different motor.
