help...swap wont start
Ok here is the deal. rebuilt b18c5 block, obd1 b16 head. in 97 civic hatch. getting spark. inejector pulse, but not all the time. car wants to start, but wont. running p2t civic si computer. CEL does not work, is not hooked up (right like that when I got the car) any way any ideas. I had to rewire the gray obdII plug on the obd1 dist. think it did it all right but dont know. any suggestions. thanks

ok?, But if you are running a OBD 2 ECU with a OBD 1 dizzy, it will not run or run like junk. The OBD 2 ECU is looking for sensors that are not there. You see what i am saying?

On B-series engines You can run an OBD1 dis on an OBD2 car and vice versa..for the plugs to fit though you need to change them to whatever harness you are using and the colors are all the same so go one at a time and make sure they are there. Its not a ground problem since your engine is cranking. Are you getting fuel? do you hear the fuel pump priming the lines before you crank the engine?
