will a OBD I ecu work w/ an OBD 2 dizzy???
as the topic states...will a OBD I ecu work w/ an OBD 2 dizzy? i'm getting a brand new OBD 2 dizzy w/ my ITR head, and i just wanted to know if it would work cuz i'm gonna run a p30 ecu
Oh yeah no prob. I got a 99 B18C1 in a 94 DX hatch using the 94 wiring harness. I just had to re-wire my dizzy with a obd1 connector so it would plug up.
u just had to rewire the dizzy for the different connector? well, which connector is it...the one that goes from the harness into the dizzy? what exactly do you have to do to repin/rewire it? i dont have it infront of me so i can't really see the differences.
u need to put an obd1 dizzy connector on your obd2 dizzy so it will plug in the obd1 harness. the 2 plugs are different but all wires are the same color

ok...here's the thing. i'm gonna run this dizzy in an EF chassis (OBD 0 wire harness). So how exactly should i wire it up? the OBD 2 plugs and the OBD 1 wireharness, its not that hard to rewire/repin it...but i have no idea how i'm gonna do it after looking @ my harness.
yep, I had to modify the wiring on my obd2 distributor to make it work with the P28 the car came with, but it will work. ('95 Civic with '00 B18C5)

Cut off the plug matching your dizzy ( OBD I or OBD II) Then using but splicing and heat shrink match colors. The OBD 0 is a little diff in color seq. so follow the wires to see where they go on the distributor and mark them before cutting. Good Luck!!
The alternator and fuel injectors will have to be done also!
