what is required? i have heard soooo many stories about this swap..

i have a 97 complete swap and a 94 ls ecu.

can i use the stock wiring harness with this swap? run one wire or do i need to get 94-95 intake manifold? injectors? wiring harness?

help..

stock wiring and mounts if you want but ls mounts are better fit.

you can do it a couple of different ways, The way i would do it would be to use a '94-95 LS harness, and trade your OBD2 distributor for a '94-95 LS one. Use a '94 -95 LS ECU. Use all the LS mounts. HTH

Don't swap out anything. Use the harness that came with the engine and 94-95 LS ECU, of course use all TEG mounts if possible. Everything will plug right in.

This is exactly what I did. Ive got a 98 motor running off a 94 ecu. Everything works great.
Very easy swap.

what kind of header are you guys running? can i use the stock one or should i get a b16 header? does the piping bolt up? what kind of cat-convertor? are you running the teg cat with the o2 sensor? i do not wanna weld any exhaust pieces. thanks

Stock LS header down to the "B-Pipe" for me.

I've got a DC 4-2-1 header (for the LS), a straight pipe, and a custom cat-back system.
I think you only need the 2nd O2 sensor in the cat if you are coverting to obd2.

You can use the stock harness. But you will need to change your injector plugs and distributer plug. But 1996+ injectors and distributers ARE compatible with 1992-1995 ECUs.
