Just like the topic reads. Does it matter which cylinder head your using? (b18c or b16). Would the block make a difference in which ones you use as well. (LS or B20)

GSR/ITR are longer than LS and B16... Those are recommended stock replacements.

If you get ARP head studs, get the ones for the GSR, but still bolt them down to spec.

Can you use B16 head studs on an LS/VTEC. The reason I ask is because my friend did an LS/VTEC for some guy, and the guy claims that the car started smoking so he took it to a shop where they pulled the head off, and 3 of the headstuds were stripped, and some even broke in the block. Is this possible from just normal driving? Sounds to me like the guy was over reving or something... I know he was running a Skunk2 chipped ecu with a 9000 redline.

hey i was just wondering if i could use ARP b18a bolts and studs for my ls/vtec...I have a b18a bottom and b16a1 head.. They are 11mm on the ARP website....Will these work..

ARP sells B20/VTEC bolts, but I think there also used for LS/VTEC. The LS, and B18C bolts I believe are the same lenght...
