my friend has a LS longblock with ARP head studs. Can he just take the LS head off and use those same head studs with his B16 head???

 

I was in the same situation.... The LS headstuds will work, but the two longer middle studs will not. So you need to replace the middle two with gsr headstuds.

I asked this same question a month or so ago, and was told I needed to replace the center two. I had access to indivual gsr headstuds so I bought two.

HOWEVER, I have not 100% confirmed this, i was told by members on here it will work, I will know forsure in a couple of weeks when I go to put on the b16 head.

 

the middle LS head studs are longer. also i compared the GSR head studs to the other set of LS head studs and the GSR's were about 1/4" longer than the LS (besides the middle studs)

 

When doing an LS/VTEC, use the GSR Studs. That is what you need to use
