H2b Swap fueling...
Hey guys.. I'm doing an h2b swap right now.. well its done, I just needa hook up the fuel rail. Well, I bought the AEM fuel rail, but I got 3 questions about it.
1. Is it ok if I use my stock 99 Si fuel pump or do I have to get the 255 walbro?
2, I use the 97-01 prelude stock fuel regulator is that ok? Btw, the motor is h22a obd1. Im using the 97 290 cc saturated cc injectors if that make any difference..
3. At what psi should my fuel pressure be? My gauge saids 25 psi...
Thanks in advance

You will for sure need better injectors I think you will be on the lean side of things and that is not good at all.. I know the stock jdm h22 comes with peak and hold 345 injectors and peak and hold saves more gas and your fuel pump will prolly go out soon after your swap has been on the road for a awhile so it is better to replace than to break down and have it towed what ecu are you running...? I think its walbrofuelpumps.com has them for 100 shipped.. I got stock JDM injector I can sell you for like 40 bucks shipped one of the tips is broke but that doesn't affect performance.... You will need to wire in a resistor box if you do peak and hold injectors which is not hard at all... most hi performance setups use peak and hold.. I got Turbo DSM 450's

Re: H2b Swap fueling...
Thanks for the tips. Well, I originally was gonna use the peak and hold 345 cc but I didn't know how to install a resistor box CORRECTLY. I did do research, and read this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/injector-resistor-box-install-1996-2000-civic-ek-body-2266133/ thoroughly but man the pictures weren't clear and I just got scared i might wired something wrong and fried everything.
I have a p13 jdm ecu but I got a p61 chipped and gonna run crome. Some people told me its ok to use the 97-01 saturated injectors and calibrate a basemap to 290 cc.. I'm asking to make sure. IF i really need to change my setup then I will pick up those injectors from you for 40$. I just want my three questions to be answered 1st before I make a decision. Thanks for your response I just want to hear some more input before I make my choice THANKS

Re: H2b Swap fueling...
Totally understand... The setup you have will work though your engine will run.. It is just not ideal. If your too lean you can really ruin your engine thats why people usually over compensate with huge injectors to stay on the rich side then when they tune they get A/F ratio gauges and tune how lean they wanna be at idle and various RPMs.. Not enough fuel/runnin lean can get the engine super hot.... Hot enought to melt pistons and to melt the block or head... can someone explain this better for me?

No no I totally understand what you're saying. Ok well, I guess I have to make up my mind then. I'm just concern about the resistor box install... Not quite understand how to do that. I read alot of threads but pictures are unclear and explanation isnt great. If you can help me on that.. it'll be great. Also about the DSM injectors, you said you got some for sale?
Also if anyone could help answer this quesiton for me. Thanks in advance

Re: H2b Swap fueling...
you should be ok with the obd2 prelude injectors. I would change out the FPR to an AEM or other after market FPR. fuel pressure should be around 38 to 43 psi with vacuum. my boys jdm motor has the us obd2 injectors in his 210hp daily driver.
you would want to change the fuel pump to a 255 warlbro also... good luck....

Re: H2b Swap fueling...
I don't like the ugly resistor box. =X
btw, i am using a p28 ecu. Some people agree and others don't, I believe you should match an ecu with the correct type of injector.
ps when i used to drive my EG on the street everyday, I used the peak and hold injectors and my car ran cool but it ran much better on my RC 310 cc saturated injectors... Smoother acceleration and faster at the track... personal experience though. The ecu was a p28 chipped with a skunk program. remember, this was a long time ago, at least 7 years...

Re: H2b Swap fueling...
Well, not that I care about the resistor box looking ugly but its cause I don't know how to install it. I do have a chipped ecu with h22 basemap and planning to use that. I installed the stock regulator and don't know if it would work.

Re: H2b Swap fueling...
use an aftermarket FPR, your injectors are not running at optimal spray at 25PSI. they are made to be running at 38-42 psi with vacuum...
i guess you can say that at 25 psi, those injectors are in the low 200 cc range or even in the high 100cc range... up that FPR...
This is kind of ghetto, and I dont know why I'm suggesting it, but you can dent the cap of the stock FPR a little to raise the Fuel Pressure... like I said, ghetto but it will help a little...
