high flow fuel pump & stock fpr issues
I'm having issues with a tube frame car I'm trying to get going. the car's got a high flow walbro feeding a stock rail, injectors and fpr. its set up so the pump runs when the ignition is on, and when I try to start it it gets a couple chugs, and then dies out. I get alot of fuel spewing out of the downpipe, so its getting way too much fuel, but I'm wondering if its the fpr that's not letting enough fuel back to the tank or if its something else like an injector issue. I find when I manually open the injectors with a circuit tester testing the injector wires at the ecu, it'll prime the engine more, and it'll fire up for a couple seconds, then die off. anyone with experience with this or any idea on the fuel issues? I'll post pics if required.

if fuel is dumping out of the downpipe you've have a serious issue with injectors or ecu or injector driver. sounds like your injectors are stuck open and just dumping fuel. do you have a gauge on there to see what psi your fuel is at?

no not right now, i threw the fuel cell in & wanted to try and see if it wouldve started but i have an adjustable fpr & gauge coming soon. when i test the injectors they click on/off, and the common wire goes to the ignition, so they get power. so I shouldn't look to the fpr as the issue?

Re: high flow fuel pump & stock fpr issues
Here's some pics of what I'm building. Ive always screwed around with hondas but its not even honda powered, I have a 3sge from an 89 celica gts. those old clunkers are built rock solid! 240k on the engine and it still has perfect compression, 160 on all cylinders. I'd eventually build the motor when the frame is done and I know everything works. sorry for the blurry pics
