Default h22 surging at low rpm?

ok,,,,i have done alot of h22 swaps in civics, accords, ludes.Does anybody know why there is a surging problem at low rpm at light throttle? It gets bad sometimes mostly when hot or humid outside. To top it off it is only on 90-93accords(that i have done)and 92-95 civics(that i have done)but not on the 4 92-96ludes with h23s (that i have done)that problem does not happen? Is it because the h23s have a factory shielded wraped knock sensor wire?I have always used shielded wire for the swaps and put the shielded part of the wire on the thermostat housing is this not correct?I use factory honda wire from, of course other engine harnesses. Any help would help thanks.

Nah, none of that has to do with that. Mainly the cause of it is the idle screw on top of the throttle body, the fast idle valve (under the throttle body).

Make sure the white diaphram on the fast idle valve is all the way tight, and that should correct your problem.

Most likely vacuum leak (replace throttle body gasket) or it's a bad throttle body. I've now seen quite a few "bad" H22A throttle bodies that have gaps where the throttle plate meets the walls on the throttle body, causing a bad vacuum leak and making the idle surge. But most likely, if you've cleaned your IACV and unplugged it and reset it, a gasket needs to be replaced.
