Hey guy new to the former I have a 94 coupe with a h22 full swap car ran fine ran started up no problem. Then ran out of gas since then I go to crank it over an it's not starting has power an I hear the relay clicking when turnin to key to on . Any help would be helpful

You're saying it cranks but won't start then?

Go through the cranks but won't start troubleshooting drill. Start with fuel since the problem may be related to running out of gas. Take the return hose which goes from the fuel pressure regulator back to the tank, off at the firewall. Point it into a container. Click the key on but don't crank a few times. You should get clean fuel coming out.

If your car stalls and the gauge is on E, naturally you conclude it ran out of gas. But then when it won't restart after putting gas in, it could actually be anything.

You hear the relay but you didn't hear the fuel pump? You check for ground? You check for spark? You check your ecu?

Check it over just now fuel pump is priming an all grounds are good . The starter is just clicking an the car is losing power after that now

Check battery voltage THEN hit the starter with a hammer and try to start the car again.

Also check/redo your main grounds, DO NOT just eyeball them, disconnect/clean/reconnect to check the batt. use a volt meter and see what voltage is then with volt meter still connected to batt crank to start, what is the batt. voltage? 94

Nothing a simple volt meter can't handle as it can do more than that cig plug.

I'm pretty sure the 95 Civic is like most Japanese cars it cuts the power to the lighter socket when you turn the key to start. Making the plug in voltmeter absolutely useless for the OP's problem.

Update its been 20 degrees out so I haven't been able to check the car but did a battery check will be replacing battery to start the process old one was 10 volts fully charged
