Default H22 in 5gen hatch Input on suspention. PLZ help!

Im torn between swaps and was just wondering if anyone here with an H22 in an 92-95 civic hatch could help me out a bit.

Just how bad is the handling? I dont plan on taking to any type of race track or speed on back roads. It will be used mainly for 1/4 times and such until i can save up enough for suspention upgrade.
How will it effect handling on normal freeway lane changes? Will it be totaly upstable and just plow to outside of turns uncontrolably? I know theres like a 80lb differance just wondering how much that would actually effect it.

I would like to upgrade suspention while engine is out for labor / practicality but i dont think ill have the money to do both. If anyone who owns or has such experience with an H22 in Civic Hatch could please respond i would greatly appreciate it.

did you do a search? I saw a thread the other day about this, they were saying your car would handle like poop, but be fast in a straight line.

Default Re: handling the H22...

With a properly set up car it handles very nice. We built one for road racing and used some springs and sway bars built for us by Progress Group and the car handled bitchen. The great thing was, the total package wasn't that expensive because we used Tokiko Illuminas front and rear and the springs and sway bars were over the counter stuff. So nothing was exotic (read expensive).

Nick, that you? It's spelled suspension!!!!! During your everyday driving you would be all set. lane changes would be no different. on ramps may be a different story tho...I'm sure Chris could engineer most/all understeer out. If you decide to go the H22A route....I'm pretty exited about your damn swap!! I guarantee sus. will be next summers project!! I've got some good stuff for you to read. If you are torn between swaps I personally wouldn't wiegh this as too heavy a factor. There are alot of misc items of B.S. to work through with this swap...but It will be so much fun... perfect with that whole sleepr thing you are obsessed with. Oh hey, and if you didn't notice the guy above me, Brian G...He's the guy from HASport...the place that makes the kit you will use. He knows his ****!
