GSR EG Civic: Wierd Code 22
So I was drivin to pittsburgh tonight and out of nowhere my check engine light came on while I was just driving (no racing or anything), so I checked which code it waS throwin and it said 22. Here is the peculiar part... the v-tec pressure sensor has been disabled in my chipped ecu. Why would I still throw this code? Could it be oil level? It shouldn't be wiring issues cuz it has been working for over four months. Please let me know what y'all think. Thank you.
I checked my oil level and it's fine, no problems or anything out of the ordinary.
I need ideas.

the vtec pressure sensor has been disabled? why? when did u chip ur ecu?
i would think if ur sensor was disabled, then naturally u would be throwing a code 22.... because the ecu is looking for the sensor. if the sensor is disabled, the ecu is not finding the sensor. = 22

The ECU does not look for the pressure sensor... it SHOULD ignore it. I just had it chipped a month and a half ago, and has been running flawlessly up until now.

then check ur wires.
blue black = signal wire to ecu
black = ground (try and ground it seperately.tap the ground wire and run it to the valve cover or something: quick and easy)
if the light does not go off and vtec does not come back on. then u know its either the signal wire. (which u can run a new one or trace it and fix the problem)
or check the actual solenoid and switch. the switch is a 22 mm i believe.

That would have absolutely nothing to do with the sensor or wiring from the ECU to the sensor. If you had the ECU chipped then that feature has been disabled. If all of a sudden the check engine light comes on for that sensor, then whatever method that was used to "chip" or bypass that feature has failed.

That's what I"m thinking too.... now here's something wierd though. I went to my car this morning not having done a single thing to it and the CEL is gone, Vtec is back and it's like nothing ever happened...
This stuff is confusing the hell out of me
