gonna do a GSR swap in the hatch, what clutch.and some other ?'s
ok,,i decided against the R engine
cuz i can save a lil money for some FI,,or cams or somthing,,to make the b18c close the R swap perf.
now i am gonna have a new clutch put in when i do the swap,
the ? is what one should i look into??
i want something streetable, the car is only a weekend car
i also may want to consider a clutch that will b good if i go FI a couple months down the road
is there a clutch that fits my criteria??
and about how much will it set me back??
as far as when i get the swap,,i will just have the basic bolt ons
and maybe a lil down the road ill go SC or turbo
but on the FI i will not up the boost any more then stock
so i will not need a clutch for really high HP
another ?
when i get the GSR swap,,will i get a GSR fuel pump??
or will it not come with one??
if it doesnt come with one then should i go ahead and get one??
i saw a post a lil while back where someone was having some bogging at certain RPMs and he replaced his fuel pump with a GSR's and he said it runs great now
another ?
i have a greddy PE exhaust.and i am gonnma get a DC 4-1 header,
and a AEM CAI,,but what CAI do i get when the GSR swap is in the car??
GSR or just a civic??
isnt there a difference in diameter in the 2??
if the GSR will take a lil work to get in there,,i can make it work
but if the 2 are the same diameter then ill just get a civic CAI
well any thoughts would b great
thanks mike
it will b about a month before the swap is done

Re: gonna do a GSR swap in the hatch, what clutch.and some other ?'s (Wrath of VTEC)
exedy clutch, my friend broke his in and is great, already ordered mine (clutchcityoneline.com)
as for CAI, get the GS-R cai, now remember where the hole in the civic chassis is for the resonator is were the abs unit for the integra is at, SO you will have to place the lower part of the CAI in between the radiator and the tranny mount......other than that you should have no problem (again, GET THE GS-R CAI)
now i had the bogging at higher rpms, i advanced the timing and she ran GREAT. i also added a GS-R fuel pump and i could tell a *slight* pick up top also........the pump wont come with the swap, but if you want go ahead and pick one up from a junkyard or what not (not really needed)
