I'm not sure if anyone even cares anymore ... but ..

I received an email from gavin last week telling me to check back today (so I emailed him) ... I quote him saying "[caps]finally!!!! documents in hand!!!! check back monday!![/caps]"

I replied and asked him what came with the clip ... he told me that along with the motor, axles, header, cat (maybe), and full exhaust are all included ... no suspension, brembos, headlights.

Hmm ... I'm pondering if this means he sent it?

BOL means it's already in the country. Now go import it. You have to bring it though customs yourself. I did this about two years ago with a SR20DET. There is a little run around you have to do with a paper trail. I would sugest you go get a customs broker.

hmm .. I was checking out the bill of lading and I tracked the ship it was on ... estimated time of arrival of the ship is Friday Aug 5, 5 pm ... so we'll see what happens.

hopefully the port will give me a call by this weekend ... if not, I'll call on monday or tuesday ... I'll give another update in about a week's time

update ...

gavin declared the value to be $1000 ... so I don't need a customs broker.

I have all of the documentation I need ... 1- original bill of lading, 2- packing list, 3- invoice, 4- arrival notice

so after the port's x-ray process, it should be ready to clear customs on wednesday ... I'll update again on wed or thurs to see how things go.

Damn, I've saved up for so long just to find this out...I was going to order a '99-00 ITR front clip from them:

"Honda Integra Type-R DC2 B18C Front Clip"
Code : hondc2b18c
Price : USD 4200

IF you want the full car, consist of recaro seats, 5 lug ,suspension , rear seat , bodypanels , spoiler , sports rims, - full car will cost - 99/00 USD7588.00 (Total JDM Integra Type-R) 96-97 USD6800.00 (TOTAL JDM Integra Type-R)"

I thought by full car they meant they tossed the 5 lug rear, backseats, and wheels and supension into the front seats and shipped it. Project Integra RS > R is getting more and more complicated. I'd be willing to wait for this for a while, but I'd want the seller to be honest and upfront with me about it. If I have to wait a year, then tell me I have to wait a year. I wonder if the clip would have to go to Cali/Washington/west coast first and then be shipped back to Oahu, HI, and then over to my island. This could add up real fast.

Anyone know anyone else I could try to get a front clip with all the rear goodies from? Can't seem to find anyone else willing to ship clips. Thanks for this thread, and and info provided.

hell yes.

I had already put in a downpayment for another motor ... but it never came in the shop, so I'll get my money back from them.

I'm crazy, eh?

edit: according to the Bill of Lading, my engine serial # is:

K20A
36xxxxx

hmm, judging from what I found about engine blcok serial #'s, this engine should be from a 2004 DC5-R

I've been emailing them about an Accord front clip and that are positive that shipping will only take 30 days by DHL. They even agreed to write a contract with me.

they're going to send it by boat (after 6-12 months) and it's gonna get stuck in customs in california. then you're gonna have to fly out here and sign for it in person, wait another little while and have it shipped to FL.

someone else on the east coast had a similar story floating around the internet somewhere ...

oh man, this is ****.

my front clip turned out to not be a front clip at all. it's basically a full swap with a radiator ... no axles, no suspension, no brake master/booster, no shift cables, no subframe and NO ******* COMPUTER

not to mention the motor is HELLA ****** dirty.

the shitty thing is that he said it would come with shift cables. I would've expected this to at least come with a ******* ecu, but NO.

there are motor mounts and the full header + cat w/ headshield is there. I'll need a new valve cover because it's dirty/scratched up as ****. both the o2 sensors are broken ... wiring harness looks decent.

I have a headache.

Dude... Didn't you read this thread? Why does everyone think that "just because someone else got the shaft from flashoptions, doesn't mean I will..."

What good is a contract? Who is going to enforce it? Are YOU going to fly halfway around the globe to Maylay to enforce it? A contract with them is useless. There is nothing you can do about it if they choose to dick you in the *** like they have SO many before you. aznboysrfr came into this the same way. His boy is a FO distributor and he still got the shaft. Moral is you *might* get what you pay for a year later. I have gotten engines from Austrailia and Japan direct and it never took more than a month or two by sea freight. Once it got here, it was then shipped to the nearest customs warehouse.

Since you're an expert, why don't you tell use where we can get our engines and front clips from?

I agree completely. I ordered my stuff a while before I even looked at this thread ... or even looked up FO.com

you can get your motors from anywhere else ... http://www.passwordjdm.com, http://www.jhpusa.com, http://www.jdmtheory.com, http://www.hmotorsonline.com ... I highly recommend any of those places ... they are good. More expensive than flashoptions...

I got my k20a "clip" for $5000 ... but I also had to pay a customs fee of $34, shipping fee of $209, and a shitload of waiting, frustration, etc ...
