Default First timer doing a swap, EJ2 getting a GSR, ok to remove power steering pump?

Just wondering if it would affect timing/anything to just remove the power steering pump mounted on the front of the GSR head, the belt attached to it and the crank is obviously my main concern.

Thanks in advance!
