for once I agree with you Dragon, I am weary of the CRVTEC and LS/VTEC setups, If they worked well, Honda would have made them that way.

 

I understand what you guys are saying, buy I dont entirely agree.

Does this mean we shouldnt do motor swaps? Build motors? Do turbos? superchargers? nitrous? Because its not what those high paid engineers intended.
Im glad people are building crazy ****, it keeps things interesting.

Honda never put a B18C5 in second gen integra but Id say that works pretty damn well!

about the "honda would've made them that way"... honda didn't even sell a 1.8L civic... so i don't think it's much a of a stretch to say that they woudln't make a b20 vtec... it seems like they just don't have any place to put 240 hp except the s2000 anyway... but i do see your point... a badly made ls-vtec can have serious reprecussions. i thought this was poll was just in regards to what engine is the most fun to drive and stuff... in which case... i think cr-vtec delivers the most power naturally aspirated... and it can be built to rev high...
