F22B DOHC head + F23 bottom end possible?
Moved from the All Motor forum, seemed better here.
Got a 92 Accord LX w/ a F22b DOHC in trade for a 90 Integra with a crappy body but good engine. I call it good. Accord is in decent shape, except for the ricer cf over metal fenders and altezza crap which will be gone soon.
Previous owner ran the F22B DOHC without checking the oil at any point. Well, it leaked all out and seized up, went BOOM. Now there is a hole in the block behind the A/C bracket the size of my fist. Poor car.
I've read the F22b/f22a hybrid threads on CB7tuner etc., but not finding a good answer. Is the F23 block physically the same as far as oil passage dimensions, feed ends, etc as the F22 block? The F22B had all the correct F22B intake mani, JDM ECU, 99 JDM Prelude auto w/ LSD, etc. as far as I know. It ran like a scalded dog, I'd like to make it do such again.
So is the F22B head onto an F23a bottom any different than F22B head onto a original to the car F22a bottom end? Is there anything I need to plug up / reshape etc?
Thanks.

It is basically the same. It worked well for me: 200whp 183wtq.

The F22B DOHC chamber is larger than the F23's so the compression will drop a bit.
I will send you PM tonight. This is not my usual forum.
