F20b ek install thread!
Hi there
So in an effort to keep myself busy while I wait for parts on a longer term build. I've decided to take on a f20b swap with, auto to manual conversion. So this bone stock 1998 dx coupe came into my shop needing a new engine. I managed to pick it up for 200$. As I don't have a car while I build my real project, I figured hey, why not just drop a stock engine and voila! So as it seems, a d16y7 goes in this great city of mine for 590-630$, whereas a f20b cost $645. Seeing as how I have a spare f series trans, cable, shifter box and other f/h related accessories lying around. I said why not. now I know that axles and hasport mounts are another 5-700$ but I guess that's the price you pay for fun. I've just ordered the clutch pedal/accessories and am beginning the minor detail of converting from auto to manual, but seeing as how this seems very minor to me. Back to the real story.
As I was taking apart the harness off my new f20b motor, which by the way looks spotless inside. I noticed that the f20b doesn't have a injector box. Which brings me to my question. What sort of injectors are run on the f20b? And as far as tuning is concerned, what would be a good basemap to run the car on? Aside from a h23manual tensioner h22 timing belt conversion, are there any other simple modifications to be made to the engine while it's out? Should I replace the intake manifold? Or would a egr block off plate and a aem rail work? Any real owners out there have reviews? Pics to follow in a day or two! I got a 15 of Keith, Wiring harnesses and a long weekend sounds like a great time. Thanks for visiting!

Re: F20b ek install thread!
What a weird engine this has been so far. So last night I put the harness on, connected the trans, starter mid-shaft. Tbelt wpump and manual tensioner. Which btw was tighter then a virgin. And I realized I don't have a rear engine bracket... Parts are discontinued at Honda... Can I somehow retrofit the ek rear bracket to work? Or should I just go to a scrapper and dismantle a early model accordion?
