Default Auto to manuel conversion

I have been looking for an ek hatch in my area, but they are all auto despite many of them being in excellent condition. What can I expect for an auto to manuel swap in the areas of cost, what parts are needed, and the installation difficulty. and truly werther it is worth it. I would like to keep the stock engine for a while and bask in the good mpg, so no engine swaps for now.

You will spend..on average..a grand for the parts (new - d-series)

Labor is not to bad. Pedal are a little bit of a bitch.

Removing the metal where your auto shifter is/was is a bitch too.

Good luck, its a good feeling to drive a car with a manual trans that was auto
