Auto EK hatches vs Manual EK hatches
is there a diference between these 2 hatches besides the obvious auto/stick? i mean is the engine bay the same? say i have an auto ek hatch and wanna swap in a b16 it will work rite? cuz i know in auto integra u have to drill out the passenger post mount and reweld a bit further in to be able to swap in a manual swap.. do i have to do this too to an auto EK hatch??
reason i ask is because i might be pickin up this 00 dx hatch thats auto for under 1000

Re: Auto EK hatches vs Manual EK hatches (DeviousCTR)
yes you can always do manual swap to an auto trans car.
but think of the money+time(or labour if you are not doing the swap) you have to spend to complete a manual swap.. basically it's better off by buying a manual one at the first place.
I "THINK" there is no difference between auto and manual civic HBs other than the transmission, ecu, gauge, clutch pedal etc etc (wateva related to the manual transmisson). But i ain't an expert so ill leave that to somebody who knows.

Re: Auto EK hatches vs Manual EK hatches (Spoon-EK9)
im pretty sure hasport has the auto to man trans mount for the ek. i know they have it for eg's. anyways, i dont see why people say just buy a 5spd. it does not cost that much to make it not worth it. you just need a clutch master cylinder and the peddle assembly and lines. and of course the tranny and mount.
