F#@K!!! I busted the head off my rear LCA bolt...
Yeah, I *finally* got around to working on the rear suspension today and I had heard all the horror stories...well it happened to me. I busted the head off the bolt that goes through the rear lower control arm where it goes through the shock. Damn.
Now what?
1) Just remove what's left on my CX and replace the bushings
2) Just buy NEW rear LCAs...maybe even something better like GSR LCA's so I can install a sway bar.
3) Wait...daily drive my ITR til I can afford the ITR 5 lug conversion.
Suggestions please...

cut off the nut that is welded on the shock which the bolt is threaded and buy some performance shocks. That's econo way of solution.

Just replace them with the GSR lca's. Then you can add an ITR swaybar.
I don't know why everybody is so into the whole 5lug conversion anyway?
Whattsa matta with the 4 lug?

Whattsa matta with the 4 lug?
1. more secure...the wheels STAY on better
2. ITR brakes are excellent for the $$ (I know because I have them ON my ITR)
3. I could swap wheels between my two cars (I have a set of race only wheels/tires now for my ITR)

Nothing is *wrong* with the 4 lug, but 5 lug ITR conversion is:
1. more secure...the wheels STAY on better
2. ITR brakes are excellent for the $$ (I know because I have them ON my ITR)
3. I could swap wheels between my two cars (I have a set of race only wheels/tires now for my ITR)

Anyway ,you have a good point about the wheel swapping deal.

I broke that bolt too. I limped around without it and took it to Midas. They shot that bitch out with an air gun or someshit. I gave the guy $10.
And the new bolt costed me $10 from the Acura Dealership.
