Stripped rear LCA bolt.. but not the strut fork one! What to do??
Ugh so i tried putting my agx+gc setup on the ej7 today and the front went on fine but the rear was hell... i got new lcas and struts for the rear to avoid the whole lca-bolt drama but here it is.
So I stripped the head of the bolt that connects the lca to the rotor/trailing arm assembly. The head is completely stripped, never got the bolt to even budge [using a 5ft breakre bar]...
So now i dont know what to do, shoudl i try and cut off the bolt head and the welded on nut on the trailing arm and then replace them with a new nut and bolt? At this point its the only option i can think of.... ideas?

Yeah when I put my Tokico Blues and Tein S Techs in, I broke the LCA bolt on the fork and we drilled it out but that was because we didn't have a tap to get it out. If you have access to a tap and die set try that first. If all else fails, drill it out and go with your idea, it sounds the most logical. Good luck.

I had a bitch of a time with mine, so to save time, what i did was i went to honda, got replacement OEM bolts WITH matching nuts. Now i know they have nuts welded onto the back of the holes, but the outer ones broke off in the middle, so what i did was i dremel'd off the welded on bolts, got the broken section out, and used the new bolts and nuts to replace everything.

Exactly what I had to do, cept I had 2 bolts stuck on the same LCA, the inside and outside. I used a 4.5" cut off wheel on a grinder and cut the bolt on either side of the bushing, pulled the heads off, and then drilled out one, and got the half of the bolt left to back out on the other. Make sure you lube those bolts up when you put them back in, I use Anti-seize and also, if you're buying new bolts and hardware, make sure you get Grade-8 3/8ths hardware which is the same as M10, Honda uses M10x1.25 and hardened like Grade 8 hardware for a reason.
