i wanna see who is gonna come out with an updated oil pan now that these kits are on the market, we should be able to keep it from being at such an angle.....hell at the angle it is currently at you would never get all the oil out of the front of the pan with the engine tilted like that. someone with their cad degree get on the horn and make a few for us folks.

take a look at the oil pan pic im talking about from white boy racing on the first page, i think.
as that pan sits you would leave about a half a quart of oil in the pan at every change. do you know what could be lurking in that half a quart??

you got a valid point....hmm maybe a good magnetic drain plug isnt a bad investment for a h2b'er

you can see by this link that the moroso isnt that bad. you could possibly even weld a plate in the stock pan to keep oil from sitting that far down??

yeah moroso oil pan is by far better on a stock h mounting points...b series mounting points it would still need a little bit more work...
i think we should have some custom h2b oil pans made

exactly...and ours in a prelude sits on a slight angle, so in order for it to be completely parallel to the ground it would have to be even on a greater angle towards the drain plug...hard to explain

The thing that I noticed by looking at the car in person is that the mounts dont significantly lower the motor much at all. It seems that the main thing causing good hood clearance is more dependent on the angle the mount/mount bracket position the motor. And it doesnt look like the trans is tilted at all. It looks to me like the plate and the driver side mount twist just the motor and leave the trans in the exact position it should be. The angle on the axles look the same as if it had a b-series swap in it. I'll try to get some side by side pics of my car and white_boy_racing's car.
BTW, what h2b kit are you using in your crx?

That might be why we have mixed opinions. We are talking about two diffent kits.
Also, does you hood shut without hood spacers?

The mixed opinions on how the tranny sits. Since with the QS kit you use b-series mounts right? And with the evolution kit they give you their custom mounts.
Do you have any shots of your engine bay? I'd like to see how it all fits in the crx, thats gotta be a tight sqeeze.

yeah but they molded the mounts identical to hasport b series mounts. i asked if you could use the steel innovate's but they said nah they are molded after hasports.

If they were molded exactly after Hasport's b-series mounts, why wouldnt you be able to use Innovate's steel mounts? They should technically be the exact same mount, just look a little different, right?
