i am looking for anyone who can help me with finding out what the biggest engine i can fit into my car is and how much thats gonna run, so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

 

Biggest engine= H22/H23. Thats the swap im actually in the middle of right now (hence the screen name) ITS GOIN TO COST YOU A TON!!!!!!!! E-mail me if you wanna talk about my list of costs.....for now im at a little over 7k

 

if you want to save yourself the money and trouble go to ludespeed.com and turn your 2.0 into a vtec. that will only run you i think 2500. OR, just save your money for a couple more months and invest in the 5th gen prelude so you don't have to do the swap.

oh, and for the other guy who has spent over 7 grand on putting that engine into that car, i don't want to sound like an ***, but if you have spent that much on just putting the engine in, then you are doing something wrong. you have spent twice as much as you should have. just out of curiousity, what has made your 3500 dollar job into 7 grand?

so you haven't actually spent 7 grand putting the engine in? you have spent a lot of money on performance parts and accessories to get the engine to put out more power? is that it? if that's the case, sorry. i thought you meant you spent 7 grand trying to get the engine into the car. i hope you enjoy your swap when you are done.

 

Its all good man, Either way you look at it i still paid an *** load of money. If i had hands on experience i'd do it my self But your questions are correct...

 

are you planning on dyno-ing your prelude when you are done 3gLudeH22A? i would love to see the results - how about 1/4? do you think you will be faster than the 5th gens?

 

Yeah, the dyno is goin to be a major factor whenI I get it back on the road (hopefully next week.) LOL and of course the 1320 is goin to be a HUGE factor. Um, as far as being faster than 5th gens, I cant say yes or no cuz I know of stock 5th gens and I know a guy who built his motor just like mine and did a couple more things AND is runnin a turbonetics T3/T4, apexi wastegate, FIVE INJECTORS!!, and nos....lets just say...hes gonna hand me my ***...

you can do a VTEC conversion cheaper than any swap, or you can turbo-charge your B20A for a very good price. i wouldn't even bother swapping another engine in there. its not worth it.

Tom?????? Is that you?? LOL if so yeah you got my name right . Man, Ted told me tonite that it should be done next weekend..(but you know how that goes) He just has to finish Karens swap (you know the purple civic.) Shes doin H22 also. So i heard about your new project..I love it!!!
