I just picked this car up in a trade (88 dx)car runs and drives but check engine lights are on for knock sensor and for O2 sensor, I did realize that it’s running a stock one wire O2, so I’ve ordered four wire and the pigtail to get that spliced into the harness.

for the knock sensor though I’m looking it up and from what I’m reading it says that I don’t use the knock sensor with a P 28 ECU now while researching that I am reading that I shouldn’t be using a P 28 on a D 16 Y8 engine that I should use a P2 P in a wiring harness from a 96 to 98 VTEC and that that should plug and play.

Can someone give me a definite answer on whether I should be trying to get this P 28 to act right because it goes into limp mode with these codes or do I need to get a different ECU?
