PO325 knock sensor in d16y8 light keeps coming on:(
Hey guys, so i got a 2000 civic ex. My CEL is on because of PO325 which is for my knock sensor. I replaced the sensor a while back and the code came back on. So i said screw it and drove it the way it was. But now i decided i wanna fix it, the little orange light is getting annoying lol. So i bought another knock sensor and i went to a mechanic shop, which is owned by a buddy of mine, and i asked how can i test if its the sensor or wiring issue, he said just unplug the old sensor and plug the plug into the new sensor and just let if hang losley and drive it for a little and see if the code comes on. So i did as he said, and what do you think that stupid thing came back on!! so now i figured out that there is a little wiring issue, maybe like wire crimped or something coming off of the harness and going to the sensor. But my question is what is the simplest way to get to inspect that wire?? or to test the wire to see if there is power going thru it? Thanks you guys.

Here you go:
Knock sensor is at C3 for your OBD2b harness. I would check for continuity between the plug at the KS and at the plug to the ECU if you're suspecting a crimped or break in connection. I think leaving the knock sensor loose and hanging WILL trigger the CEL. As far as what I'm reading about the KS, it works off of the frequency of the vibration from a running engine. So leaving it hanging would tell your ECU that the engine isnt running or not running right. Have you tried installing the new sensor into the block and drive around to see?

you could also use a power probe to detect weather or not theres power going thru the wire
they also have a feature where you can follow the wire and it will detect a break in the wire or high resistance
