Default ECU Connector Compatibility

This thread is about wether or not a 96-97 Del Sol ECU would plug into a 96-98 EX harness. As indicated by Katman's rule of thumb: 96-98 Civic/Integra ECU's will plug into any 96-98 Civic engine harness.

Well, what about us 99-00 Civic guys? What ECU's plug directly into our connectors without modification (besides the Si ECU)?

Default Re: ECU Connector Compatibility (EE_Chris)

If you are referring to B-Series DOHC VTEC ECUs a '99-'00 JDM CTR ECU will plug in. As will a '00-'01 JDM ITR ECU. With the ITR ECU you will need to move A15 to A16 on your engine harness ECU plugs.

A '00-'01 USDM ITR ECU will plug in as well but you will need to have the immobilizer removed. The same holds true with moving A15 to A16 in this case as well.
