Default H22 in 6th Gen Hatch?? Anyone with info/sites??

Hey guys,
I just bought a 6th gen Civic DX hatch with the intention of dropping an H22 in it, but cannot find ANY info out there on this swap? Is this a rare one or an impossible one?? Please help?! I really want to do this! (I already know handling suffers and I have to choose PS or AC, I know.. Thanks)
Any info would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has done it and is willing to tell me a bit more, please let me know!! Thanks Guys!!

You have to choose between PS or not. AC won't work unless you spend 400 dollars on a Flydine radiator since you will need the integra radiator to cool such a large engine.

http://www.hasport.com for the 700 dollar mounts that you will need.
http://www.driveshaft.com for the 300 dollar axles that you will need (torque and engine placement in the vehicle break stock axles).
A lot of people like to do this swap, if you check the hybrid section and locate those who have already done this swap, you can chat with them. In the meantime check the first link, it will lead you to more links.

Mitsuman90 settle down there are engine mounts that are produced for the car. http://www.jdmshit.com/index2.html and http://www.hcpengineering.com
has all the mounts that you need. And if i recall correctly the car that you purcheased has the engine mounts in it allready.
JDMSHIT has engines too. I know that you have not purchased the engine yet, and they say that they can get a JDM H22 type S?

AC will work... HCP has a bracket that they just made and it's being tested on an EK hatch as we speak. I'll be selling it here shortly. PS won't fit... gets in the way of the hood.

so the hood is the only reason that ps wont work? what about with an aftermarket hood or perhaps a moded hood?

Wow... that's a grip for the mount kit, plus I don't think they have one available for the EK chassis yet. Check out http://www.JDMshit.com for picts of the HCP H22 EK mount kit (I sell them for about half that price).... also more fitment picts here: http://www.JDMshit.com/h22a-clearance

We do sell swaps. In fact, we just got in a container full of JDM motors and front clips.... one of them is a JDM Type S swap. I'm not in Sac but near by. Email me for more details.

Newman,
I was under the impression that I could have ONE or the OTHER. That stinks if PS doesn't work! Are you sure there's NO way?? Also, I can't seem to get a straight answer on what axles to use? Do you know which set would work? Someone tells me like 2G integra. Not sure. Any help guys? Thanks!

You can have one... you can NOT have the other. The AC works, and I sell the bracket for it to work... works great in a 96 hatch right now. The PS will not fit because it will not clear the driver's side frame rail.

Maybe I can help clear some stuff up.. I have a 96 civic coupe with an h22a in it and i have my powersteering hooked up no problem and i could have kept the ac too but i took it off because i hate AC. I had to shave the back corner of headlight and get a prelude PS fitting spliced onto my civic line but other then that there were no problems. I used the place racing mount kit and axles. It works good i beat on it alot and drive it daily and race it on the weekends and still no problems. the mounts have a lifetime garuntee and the axles have a year garuntee on them. I know of a few other people with the same swap with other mounts and hear constant complaints from them. This is just my .02 cents.

Place Racing

with the hcp kit, do you have to cut out and weld in new mounts?

No... you don't have to cut anything, weld anything, chop anything, hack anything, when using the HCP kit (my car is a perfect example).

Has anyone raced their H22a Civic with street tires? How hard was it to get traction on street tires? (Drag Radials)

What do you do for a wiring harness for the engine? If it's OBD1 JSPEC, will there have to be any modifying to the harness? Wiring..
Also, what axles do you run with the HCP kit? Thanks!
